Co-Founder

LeadershipRemote (US preferred)

We're looking for a co-founder. Not an early employee with a fancy title — a partner. Someone who wants to help decide what From The Forest becomes, and who is willing to carry the weight of that decision alongside us.

What we're building

From The Forest is the parent company behind Orca — an agent orchestration platform that lets organizations integrate AI agents into their org chart alongside humans. We're also building the underlying infrastructure for that future: identity, payment rails, and the protocols that let agents and humans collaborate without one swallowing the other.

The thesis: the next decade of software is about coordination between humans and machines. We want to build the boring, durable infrastructure that makes that coordination work — and we want to build it without selling out the humans on either side of the wire.

What you'd own

  • A real slice of the company. Co-founder equity, not advisor scraps.
  • A domain. Product, GTM, engineering, or operations — whichever fits your shape. We'll figure out the lines together.
  • The hard calls. Hiring, fundraising, scope, what we say no to. Not just execution on someone else's plan.

What we're looking for

  • Operator instincts. You've built or run something before — a company, a team, a product line. You know what shipping costs.
  • High-agency. You don't wait for permission. You also don't break things that shouldn't be broken.
  • Long-term orientation. You want to build something that lasts ten or twenty years, not flip something in three.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. Pre-PMF, pre-funding, pre-everything. You're okay building in the fog for a while.
  • Direct communicator. Async-first, written-first. You can disagree without making it personal.

What we're not looking for

  • Someone who needs a salary on day one. We'll get there, but not yet.
  • Someone whose contribution is "ideas" and "connections."
  • Someone looking for a title to put on LinkedIn.

The shape of comp

Pre-funding. Equity-heavy by necessity, but value-for-value still governs — the equity should reflect what you're actually building, not what you might. We'll have an honest conversation about runway, vesting, and what salary looks like once we raise.

How to start the conversation

Email hello@fromtheforest.io. Tell us what you've built, what you'd want to own here, and why this — not the fifty other things you could do with your next few years.

A human reads every email. If what you sent resonates, we'll talk.
