Privacy

This page describes the data we collect when you visit fromtheforest.io. Last updated 2026-04-17.

Short version

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't store your IP address. Our analytics provider receives no IP from us.
  • We honor Do-Not-Track. If your browser sends DNT, we do not track.
  • We use one analytics provider (PostHog) to understand how the site is used, in aggregate.

What we collect

When PostHog is enabled and you have not opted out, we collect:

  • The page URL you visited
  • Coarse browser + device type (e.g. "Chrome on macOS")
  • Coarse Core Web Vitals (page-load timing) for performance monitoring
  • Anonymous click events on navigation links

We do not collect:

  • Your IP address
  • Email address (unless you give it to us via a form)
  • Form contents you did not submit

Cookies

PostHog uses a single first-party cookie to deduplicate visits. No third-party advertising cookies are set by this site.

Opting out

To stop analytics in your browser:

  • Enable "Send a Do-Not-Track request" in your browser settings, or
  • Use a tracking-blocking extension (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, etc.), or
  • Email us at hello@fromtheforest.io and we'll add your visitor ID to our block list.

Email and forms

If you submit an email address (waitlist, careers, contact), we use it for the purpose you submitted it for. We do not sell, share, or sync it to third parties. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes materially.
